with early mornings and late evenings tiredness was quick to enshroud the only saving grace was that the weather did turn out really nice so we could relax a little on the water.

Each day we had 25 kids taking part in a kayak taster day in addition another 11 completing a paddle power discovery course this was a success with all of the scouts achieving their awards and having a fab week!

On the Friday I took the time to do some in house development by running a foundation safety and rescue training day for 6 of my young helpers. again this was successful with all 6 achieving the required standard.

On the kayak team their is a great deal of experience from new trainee coaches and newly qualified level 1 coaches up to international competitors and Mad Mick! The idea is that everyone will come away with something be it an award and experience of just having a great time the week proves highly successful getting 150 scouts afloat every day in powerboats, sailing dingys, champs, drascombs, yachts and kayaks is no easy thing and the teams in place to provide the activities do a terrific job!

Thanks to all for a great week!

Thanks to Aaron at Squarerock for sending me a lovely British allstar for the duration of the activity.
